Turlock Unified School District Staff were recognized for their contributions, large and small, to the District through TUSD’s Character Counts initiative at the board meeting Tuesday night. Each month the District recognizes students from each school who exemplify  the monthly character building trait, such as respect or trustworthiness, and this month it was the staff’s turn to be honored for their worthwhile efforts. Those recognized included: Jackie Bernaciak, Brown Elementary School; Becky Perdue, Crowell Elementary School; Maria Covarrubias, Cunningham Elementary School; Mary Richards, Dutcher Middle School; Natalie Hayes, Earl Elementary School; Esmirna Imperial, eCademy Charter at Crane School; Meshell Cone Alcantar, Julien Elementary School; Gay Locke, Medeiros Elementary School; Etelvina Rodriguez, Osborn Two-Way Immersion Academy; David Walls, Pitman High School; Cynthia Velazquez, Roselawn High School; Stacey Gillen, Turlock Adult School; Kristin Bettencourt, Turlock High School; Nanette Snoke, Turlock Junior High School; Marisol Alvarez, Wakefield Elementary School; Rhonda Rose,           Walnut Elementary Education Center; Shannon Perez, Business Services; Dee Lewis, District Office – Fiscal Services; Cheryl Crawford, District Office – Human Resources.
