As of Monday, several Stanislaus County services opened their doors in a new location in Northeast Modesto, joining together at the recently established Stanislaus Veterans Center.

The move of county resources creates a one-stop shop for veteran and senior services at the Center. Making the move are: The Area Agency on Aging, Veterans Services, Adult Protective Services, Link2Care the In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority and their payroll service. Also at the site is the transportation service, MOVE for eligible veterans and seniors.

The Stanislaus Veterans Center is located at 3500 Coffee Road in Modesto at the Sylvan Square Center in Suite 19.  Approximately 85 county employees will be working at the 37,500-square foot facility.

The creation of the Stanislaus Veterans Center is the result of a public-private partnership between Stanislaus County, the City of Modesto, the Veterans Advisory Commission, the Veterans Foundation of Stanislaus County, and their private partner Stone Brothers Management, Inc.

The Stanislaus Veterans Center includes a large banquet hall that will be available for use by all Stanislaus County Veteran Service organizations for hosting meetings, banquets, fundraisers and events that enhance the quality of life for veterans.

The shopping center, Sylvan Square, where the Center is located, is also home to several restaurants and retail stores.
