Did you know The City of Turlock offers a rebate program if you purchase and install a new, high-efficiency toilet and/or washing machine? If your home was built before 1995, and the appliance you purchase is on the approved list you qualify to save.

Over 20% of a customer’s indoor water use is from toilets. A standard toilet uses 3-5 gallons of water per flush, where a high-efficiency toilet uses only 1.28 gallons. You could save nearly 40 gallons of water each day and get up to $75 credited to your utility account as a rebate if you make the switch.

A standard washing machine uses 40 gallons of water per load, while a high-efficiency washing machines uses only 15 gallons. Upgrading to a new, high-efficiency washing machine could earn you up to $100 credit on your City of Turlock utility account and save you 25 gallons of water per load of laundry.
