The Turlock Police Department has arrested a 41-year-old man on allegations he sexually assaulted two young girls at a home in Turlock.

Christopher Bonander was taken into custody Wednesday on allegations of oral copulation with a child under 10 years of age, lewd acts with a child under 14 years of age, showing harmful matter to a minor, continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14 years of age and attempted oral copulation of a child under 10 years of age.

The police department began their investigation in April after allegations were made against Bonander.

Two young girls, both under the age of 10 years have been identified as the alleged victims.

Bonander is known to the victims and the incidents occurred in a private residence located in Turlock, according to the Turlock Police Department.

Bonander is currently in custody at the Stanislaus County Jail and is being held in lieu of a $250,000 bail.
