A water line break was discovered early Friday morning on Fulkerth Road, east of the Union Pacific Railroad tracks, which closed the Fulkerth intersection at Golden State Boulevard for most of the day.

 City crews worked throughout the day trying to locate the leak, and were successful around 7 p.m. Friday. Due to failing soils surrounding the break and the late hour, repair work is set to begin Saturday morning, according to Turlock Municipal Services Director Dan Madden. The city anticipates having the work completed Saturday.  Both east and west bound Fulkerth Road will remain closed during the repair work.
