The 2016 Stanislaus County Fair has signed country band Parmalee as one of the acts that will take the stage during the Fair’s 10-day run.

The popular country rock band has found success by mixing traditional country and southern rock genres.

Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair says, “Parmalee is an amazing group.”

“We wanted to bring in a country rock act to attract our younger demographic as well,” she said. “I know they will put on a fantastic show.”

Parmalee recently made history when its multi-week No. 1 song “Carolina” became the longest climbing single by a group in the 24-year history of the Billboard Country Airplay Chart. Their debut country album, “Feels Like Carolina,” has earned critical praise from “People,” “The New York Times,” “USA Today,” “Newsday,” “Billboard,” and more.

The group performs on the Bud Light Variety Free Stage at 8:30 p.m. July 12. The concert is hosted by Kat Country 103 and is free with the price of Fair admission.

The Fair is set to open July 8.
