The behind the scenes look at staging a high school play will take center stage during the Denair High School Drama Club’s production of “Our Miss Brooks.”
“Our Miss Brooks” originally began as a radio show in 1948 on CBS. It was adapted to television in 1952 and starred Eve Arden. In 1956 it was made into a movie.
The theatrical version tells the story of Miss Brooks, a high school teacher who has to juggle a demanding principal, a pushy board member, and drama-ridden teenagers while trying to put on a high school play.
Denair’s show stars senior Hayley Perry as Miss Brooks.
