Alan David Rudd, 46, of Lockeford, Calif., died June 27, 2011 in rural Jenny Lind, Calif. as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.  Alan was born Aug. 26, 1964 in Berkeley, Calif., the son of H. Claude and Rae Ann Rudd.  He attended New Haven Elementary School and East Union High School in Manteca, Delta College in Stockton and graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.  Alan worked as an electrical engineer for 19 years; the last 10 as a senior engineer for Pacific Gas & Electric. 

He enjoyed riding motorcycles, and Country Two Step and West Coast Swing dancing. He had a vast library of music, and enjoyed barbequing and cooking for his many friends and family. He loved to plan trips and travel, camping and hiking, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  Alan attended Grace Presbyterian Church in Lodi, and was a member of the I.E.E.E and the “Lords of Dogtown” motorcycle club. 

 Alan was known for his generosity and wonderful sense of humor.  He will be dearly missed.  He is survived by his son, Scott Rudd of Escalon; parents, H. Claude and Rae Ann Rudd of Manteca; sisters, Tamara Rudd of San Jose and Robin Gonzales and her husband, Robert, of Hollister; his love and soulmate, Debbie McCaffrey of Lodi; aunts, Audrey Wyllie of Stockton and Iona Flink of Santa Ana; nephews, Brian Gonzales of Davis, and Christopher and Logan Rudd of Manteca; niece, Shae Gonzales of Hollister; and several cousins and close friends.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Rudd; and sister, Tiffany Rudd. 

 Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Alan’s life at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 8 at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S Fairmont Ave., Lodi.
