Hotchkiss
Glenn Hotchkiss, 72, passed away surrounded by family on July 10. Glenn was born in Hobbs, NM, and moved to California with his family in 1943. In 1949, his family moved to Delhi. A 1956 graduate of Livingston High School, he served in the United States Air Force in the late 50s, and was a loyal employee of J.M. Equipment Co. for 42 years until his retirement in 2003. He married the love of his life in 1957. Glenn and Peggy shared 52 years of happy memories at their home in Denair, until her recent death. There aren't enough words to sum up what a wonderful, kind and compassionate man he was. Everyone who knew Glenn knew how much he loved and cared for his family, and he was so proud of them. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and sharing stories as well as a good recipe, and he could repair just about anything. His word was as golden as his smile, and he could be a real jokester.
He is survived by his children, Randy (Lynne) Hotchkiss of Washington and Kathy (Brad) Wade of Denair; the light of his eyes were his four grandchildren, Rob and Kristin Wade of Denair, Michele Hotchkiss of Idaho, and Shelby Hotchkiss of Washington; siblings, Florence Glenn of Delhi, Walter L. Hotchkiss of Turlock, Joyce Hotchkiss of Turlock and Linda Cox of Delhi; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Marguerite Hotchkiss; brother, Howard Hotchkiss; sister, Shirley Hotchkiss; and his loving wife Peggy Webb Hotchkiss.
Dad -
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. He led you to your sweetheart's arms for all eternity. You each taught us good values, with your warm and caring ways. This year with losing mom now you, has left us in a haze. They say the hurt will ease in time, our hearts have been put to such a test. But there is some comfort in our minds knowing that the pain is gone, now that you are laid to rest. We love you and will miss you terribly.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 16 at Turlock Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist.
