Byron Carl Reinhold passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the age of 100 in Denair, CA.

Byron was born on November 7, 1916 in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Carl and Jennie (Carlson) Reinhold. At the age of seven, Byron moved with his family to Hilmar, CA where he was raised and received his education having been a graduate of Hilmar High School with the Class of 1934. He then attended Modesto Junior College.

In 1942, Byron enlisted in the US Army where he served his country during WWII. He was a field lineman during the European Campaign and was honorably discharged in 1946.

Byron was united in marriage to Jeanine Hill in 1972. Following their marriage, Byron and Jeanine resided in the community of Turlock, CA. They celebrated over 42 years of marriage prior to Jeanine’s passing in 2014. 

Among his special interests, Byron enjoyed fishing, carpentry, gardening, building boats and spending time with his family. He was a loving and caring person who will be remembered by his great sense of humor.

He is preceded in passing by his parents; his first wife, Anita Reinhold; late wife, Jeanine Reinhold; his stepson, Danny Jones; and his sisters, Dorothy Lasiw and Margaret Warnes.

Byron is survived by his children, Robert (Mary) Reinhold of Keyes, CA, Bradley (Linda) Reinhold of Turlock, CA, Kathy McCoy of Denair, CA and Teena Jones of Turlock, CA.

Also surviving are his 14 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Fri. Nov. 18, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock, CA. A funeral service will follow at the same location starting at 1 p.m.
