Charles Carter Arnold, 70, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, following an accident. Born April 24, 1939, in Newcastle, Ind., he was the son of Charles C. and Lula Mae Niles Arnold. Charles was a long-time resident of California, having lived in Hayward, Sonoma, Sacramento and Modesto before moving to Turlock in 1992 to reside at Las Palmas Estates group home. At that time, he began his long relationship with Continuum College for developmentally disabled adults.
Charles is survived by sister, Becky Arnold Emshwiller of Phoenix, Ariz.; and brother, Alan F. Arnold of Chapin, SC. He will be remembered by his family, friends and care-givers for his smiling, positive and loving personality. His sister admits he was mischievous and adventurous in early childhood and often stored his roller skates in the corner mailbox.
Services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 5 at Continuum College, 1731 Colorado Ave., Turlock. Memorials may be made to Continuum College.  Arrangements are by Lakewood Funeral Home.
