A funeral service for Curtis Craven, 67 of Turlock, will be held at 10 a.m. on Sept. 22 at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson. Internment will follow at Patterson District Cemetery. He passed away peacefully on Tuesday at his residence with his family at his side.
Mr. Craven was a native of Crows Landing and a resident of Turlock for 23 years. He was a rancher in the Crows Landing area for 30 years and a graduate of Orestimba High School, class of 1959. He married his childhood sweetheart, Carmine Grichott, and they were married for 26 years until she passed from cancer in 1990. Curt and Carmine had two daughters, Janice and Christine.
Mr. Craven is survived by his daughters Janice Duran of Oakdale, Christine Ayres and husband Mike of Turlock; mother, Gladene Craven of Merced; sister, Donna Craven of Merced; six grandchildren; a special niece, Robin Von Moos and nephew, Kirk Tabar. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Carmine Craven; father Roy Craven and sister, Barbara Lamb. We are all going to miss him dearly, but know he is at peace now. Love you Dad!
