Mrs. Doris Greenbarg passed away from this life into glory on February 21, 2025, at the age of 84. She was born April 28, 1940 in Weymouth, Massachusetts, to Howard and Muriel Umenhofer; the third of four children. The family later moved to Florida where she graduated from Ft. Lauderdale High School, met and married Robert (Bob) Greenbarg, and had their son James (Jim) Greenbarg.
Bob and Doris soon became associated with Missionary Gospel Fellowship and worked among migrant families in Texas, where they attended language school at the Rio Grande Bible Institute. Many of her fruitful years were in Mendota, California where she especially delighted in ministering to children and young women, teaching them God’s word. Doris is survived by her husband Bob Greenbarg, her son Jim (Stefanie) Greenbarg, her younger brother Mark Umenhofer, five grandchildren: Hannah Greenbarg, Oliver (Ashley) Greenbarg, Clara (Eric) Oxendine, Micael Greenbarg, Lili Greenbarg; and eight great grandchildren.
Any donations in her memory may be made to Missionary Gospel Fellowship, Turlock, California. A graveside service will be held March 7th at 2 p.m. at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson, California
