Visitation for Dorothy Garcia will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sept. 21 at Lakewood Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. on the same day at the same location. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Sept. 22 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Turlock. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Garcia was born in Union City. She died Monday at Brandell Manor Convalescent Hospital. Dorothy lived in Turlock for 21 years and was a retired administrative assistant for Manteca Unified School District. She was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include her five children, Dennis Garcia of Las Vegas, Stan Garcia of San Luis Obispo, Richard Garcia of Santa Cruz, Sandy Garcia of Modesto and Mark Garcia of Oakdale; one sister, Irene Olivera of Union City; seven grand-children, David Garcia and Kerry Garcia, both of Reno, NV, Bob Christenson and Shannon Engle, both of Las Vegas, NV, Chere Garcia and Ryan Garcia, both of Santa Cruz, Jennifer Springer of Modesto; four great grand- children, Kate Garcia, daughter of David Garcia, Cody Kovatch and Shelby Engle, son and daughter of Shannon Engle, Wyatt Bonfante son of Jennifer Springer.
