Douglas was born in Oklahoma to Albert and Lena Wood in 1931 and passed away in Modesto at the age of 85.  

He is survived by his son Curtis (Tami) Wood; grandchildren Aaron Wood and Alyssa Wood; great grandson Isaiah Wood and siblings Leon Wood, Veda Abbinante, Viola Wood and Altheda Dirks.  Douglas was preceded in death by his wife Lauretta Wood and siblings Lyonel Wood, Lonnie Wood and Anita La Follette.

Viewing will be held at Allen Mortuary on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 12:00-5:00p.m.  Military committal service will be held at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 11:30a.m.
