Elvira Virginia Aguiar, age 86 of Turlock, CA was born October 1-1913 in Patterson, California. Elvira passed away July 6, 2011, in Turlock, California.

Elvira was an honorary Vice President of Luso American, Social Director for many years and spouse of past state president and member of Luso American Co. #929 of Turlock and a past secretary of the council. Elvira was a member of P.F.S.A., Co. #26 of Hilmar/Stevinson/Turlock, and a member of YLI St. Patrick’s Institute #223 of Hilmar.

Elvira is survived by her sons, Daniel Joseph Aguiar, wife Mary Margaret of Galt, Richard Victor Aguiar, wife Mary Grace of Turlock; Daughter, Kathleen Santos of Delhi; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Elvira is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Victor Aguiar on November 22, 1999; they were married for 53 years. Also Brother Henry Azevedo on February 18, 2003.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 8:00PM Monday, July 11, 2011, with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Whitehurst Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Turlock.

Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
