Magalia

Florence Bovee ~ 87 of Magalia CA, passed away at Paradise Hospice with her family by her side. Florence was born in Newell, SD to Albin and Elvira Anderson. Florence and her family moved to California in 1947 and settled in the Turlock area. Shortly after arriving in Turlock, Florence moved to Oregon to attend college where she graduated from the New Hope Christian College, formerly known as Eugene Bible College.
Soon after she moved to San Francisco and took a position as a Church Secretary where she met Billy Bovee in 1953, who would later become the love of her life and husband of 57 years. She and Billy lived in Los Gatos for 29 years before retiring to the Magalia/Paradise area. During their time in Los Gatos, she and Billy were active members of the Los Gatos First Assembly of God. For more then 25 years, Florence taught Sunday school and sang in the church choir.
Florence is survived by her loving husband Billy Bovee of Magalia, daughter Donna (Terry) Cook of Magalia, son Dan Bovee of Magalia; two grandchildren, Caleb and Sarah Bovee of Paradise; and brother Willard Anderson of Turlock. She is preceded in death by siblings Clarence, Albin Jr, Evelyn, Hildur, Helen and Edna Anderson.
Funeral services will be at Allen Mortuary Saturday, Dec 10 at 11:00am, burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
