Francisco "Frank" Salas, of Turlock, CA, passed away on Friday, April 20th, 2012. He was one of five siblings born to Jess and Loreda Salas. He is survived by his sister, Angie Salas, sons Anthony and Michael Salas and daughter Tatia Childers. Frank married the former Elaine Elick on 7/7/1985 and she preceded him in death.
Although Frank was born and raised in California's San Joaquin Valley, he spent the last years of his life in Paradise, CA. No matter where Frank lived, he always made lifelong friends as he had a marvelous personality, a superb sense of humor and amazing people skills. These traits also benefitted him in his professional life as he was a very successful businessman, traveling all over the world supporting his company. One of his favorite places to travel was Guatemala in Central America.
Frank loved to watch football games and western movies although his favorite movie was 'Gone with the Wind' and he had a sizable collection of memorabilia from that movie. He also loved boxing and had even been a sponsor of fights held in Minden, NV.
Most of all Frank loved his family and they loved him. He was always there to help anyone that needed his assistance - siblings, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, friends - anyone. Many in his life were the beneficiaries of his generosity.
Services for Frank will be held at Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway, Turlock, CA 95380 on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 3:00pm. Please share your memories and condolences at: www.allenmortuary.com
