Idalina D. Ferreira

Idalina D. Ferreira, 81 of Hilmar, died Friday in Merced. She was born in Monte Pico, Azores in 1929. She was a line worker for a poultry company for 20 years and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church both of Turlock. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Idalina is survived by her husband, Manuel F. Ferreira of 53 years of Hilmar; sons, Renato M. Ferreira of San Jose, Isolino M. Ferreira and his wife Laura of Angels Camp, Fernando A. Ferreira and his wife Debbie of Turlock and Paul L. Ferreira and his wife Victoria of Hilmar; daughter, Maria F. Nascimento and her husband Joe of Hilmar; sisters, Ana Silva of Turlock, Isabel Silva and Maria Leal both of Canada; 15 grandchildren and four great-granddaughters.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel. A Rosary/ Mass combined is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 S. Walnut Ave. Burial will be at N. Hilmar District Cemetery
