Janet Lynn Cherry, 69, of Denair, passed away in Hughson.  

Born in Turlock to Eugene and Madge Kregness, Janet attended local schools and graduated from Turlock High in 1965.  She went on to Adrian’s Beauty College and worked as a beautician at Ingie’s Hair Fashions.  In 1967 she married Robbin Cherry, and when they started a family Janet devoted herself to being a full-time homemaker.  She loved to cook and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren when they came along.

Janet was an active member of the Class of ’65, serving on reunion committees and participating in various events, including their monthly get-togethers over lunch.  

She’s survived by her husband, Robbin Cherry, daughters Amie Cherry and Erin (Michael) Davis, son Allen (Melissa) Cherry, brother Ted Kregness, and sister Pam Van Gerpen.  She also leaves 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Sharon Wilkins.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Fri., Jan. 20, at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd.  Private interment will take place at Turlock Memorial Park.
