Janice Faye Rodgers, born on Sept. 17, 1946 went home to the Lord on March 23, 2013 with her husband of 48 years, Rev. Jerry Rodgers, and her two daughters, Marilyn Palmer and Tricia Rodgers, by her side, at home in Turlock, CA.  She was 66 years old.  Janice was born in Bakersfield, CA to Jewel and Juanita Tabor and was the youngest of four children.  Janice was married to Jerry Rodgers on Feb. 27, 1965 and dedicated her life to serving the Lord as a pastor’s wife of Calvary Temple Baptist Church in Turlock.  She was a true living example of the Proverbs 31 woman.  She retired after 22 years as a secretary for Chemland-DeLaval and also worked at Costco in the past few years.  Janice was very dedicated to God, her husband, family, and her church family.  Janice is survived by her husband, Jerry Rodgers, daughters Marilyn (Tim) Palmer, Tricia Rodgers, six grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and brother Lonnie (Judy) Tabor of Stillwater, OK.  Janice is preceded in death by her parents Jewel and Juanita Tabor and siblings, Roy and Shirley Tabor.
Services will be held at Calvary Temple Baptist Church, 612 West Avenue, Turlock at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2013.  Visitation will be held at 8:00-10:00 a.m., preceding the service at the church.  Interment will take place following the service at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd.
