John Chester Rohslan passed away unexpectedly on August 23, 2017 at Doctor’s Medical Center in Modesto, California at the age of 58.  He was born to Robert Sr. and Betty Rohslan on December 2, 1958 in Turlock, CA.  Johnny was preceded in death by his parents along with his sister, Katherine Fenlason and brother-in-law, Roger Fenlason.  He is survived by his siblings, Alice Rohslan and Robert Rohslan Jr.

Johnny was a loving son and brother, great co-worker, friendly neighbor, and life-time friend.  He attended Chatom grammar school and was a graduate of Turlock High School class of ’77.  Johnny spent his entire work life in agriculture, a field of work he loved.  As a teenager, he worked with his family in farming.  After high school graduation, Johnny went to work for Hatch Milling Company and later for Associated Feed & Supply.  Johnny’s feed mill career spanned 40-years of making dairy feed, running the pellet mills, rolling grain, unloading railroad cars, sacking feed, driving loaders and forklifts, weighing, unloading, and loading trucks.  He was a dependable, hardworking mill worker, a fixture of the feed mill, often going in on the weekend to see if any railroad cars had been delivered for unloading for the next week.  Fondly remembered as friendly and kind, Johnny touched the lives of many co-workers, his family, neighbors, and friends in the Mountain View Community.  He will be mourned by many who knew him and deeply missed by his sister, brother, and his dog Boss who sits on his bed waiting for him to come home from work.

Family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers are invited to come and share memories at a Memorial Service and reception to be held at 4 pm, Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Mitchell Community Church, 1507 South Mitchell Rd., Turlock, CA.  The family requests, in lieu of flowers, remembrances are made to your favorite charity.
