Lupe Salazar, 82, of Turlock, died September 23, 2015 at Bel Air Lodge.  She was born November of 1932 in Bakersfield to Cruz and Julia Valdivia.  She spent most of her life in Los Angeles until settling to Turlock in 2002.  She married Jose Puente 3 years ago.  Lupe enjoyed reading her bible and attended Fellowship Bible Chapel. She also enjoyed playing board games with her friends at Silvercrest Residence.  Most of all she loved shopping, you could find Lupe shopping at any clothing department in town.

She is survived by her husband, Jose Puente; six children, Georgia Colantuono, George Salazar, Daria, Judy, Betty, and Darin Valdez; 41 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her two daughters, Donna and Sandra Salazar; and two sons, Jimmy Salazar and Gabriel Valdez.

Visitation will begin at 9 AM at Allen Mortuary on Friday, October 2, 2015 with the service to follow at 12:00 PM Noon also on Friday at Allen Mortuary with interment following at Turlock Memorial Park.
