Maria Fernandez, 70, of Delhi, died Jan. 22 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Jan. 27 at the family’s residence, 10067 Boxwood St., Delhi. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Jan. 27, also at the family residence. A mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Jan. 28 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons St., in Turlock.
Maria was born in 1939 in Laurel, Jalisco, Mexico. She was a homemaker for 55 years and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Turlock.
She is survived by her sons, Conrrado Diaz of Contra Creek, Antonio Diaz of Linares, Leon Diaz of Riverdale, Juan Diaz of Turlock, Felis Diaz of Tiana, Mexico, Alfredo Diaz of Delhi and Jesus Diaz of Wisconsin; and daughters, Idalisa Diaz of Mexico, Benita Diaz of Stockton, Camila Diaz and Marta Diaz of Ceres, Rafael Diaz of Delhi, Davalos Teresa Diaz of Mexico and Maria Isabel Diaz of Mexico. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Service of Turlock.
