Michael L. Allen, 44, passed away at home in Turlock, California.  He was born in Russellville, Kentucky to Charles and Patricia Allen.  Mike enlisted and served in the US Army from August 1990 to August 1994.  In January 1995, he began his fifteen year career in the US Postal Service.  He left the postal service to further his education culminating in a BA degree in Psychology from CSU Stanislaus and was just one class shy of an MA degree in Educational Psychology from Brandman University.  Although a lifelong fan of University of Kentucky basketball, he left his home state to be with his wife of 24 years in California.

Mike is survived by his wife Monica; daughter Olivia; brother Jerry Allen of Russellville, KY; and nieces and nephews in both states.  He will always be remembered as a loving husband and father and as a fast friend with a dry sense of humor.  He will surely be missed.
