Michael was born in Los Angeles Ca. & raised in Hilmar Ca.
He is preceded in death by his father Robert Marruffo. He is survived by his daughter April Kohut of Rapid City, SD and son Nicholas Hackwell of Turlock, CA, mother Gloria Hickey of Springfield, MO, sisters Linda Winfield of Ceres, Marie Perez of Denair, Rebecca Cannon of Turlock, and Roberta rynski of Buffalo, NY.  He also leaves behind six nephews, two nieces and five grandchildren. 
A memorial/life celebration service will be held Fri. Sept. 30, 2011 at 1pm at Calvary Temple in Modesto. Interment to follow at 3pm at Turlock Memorial Park.
