Michael “Mike” Charles Dunn of Denair, passed away suddenly.  Mike a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend, was born to Clyde and Corrine Dunn in Long Beach, CA.  He grew up in Long Beach and worked with his parent’s interior design business and then became a sales rep for Tri West.  Mike graduated from Long Beach Poly High School in 1968.  Went on to Long Beach City College where he was a member of the “Order of Vidar”, and being lifelong friends with fellow members until his death.

Mike married Ida in 1973 and they had two daughters, Sarah and Stephanie.  The family moved to Denair in 1986 to farm the family almond orchard and opened a gift shop “Country Lane” in 1987.

Mike was a collector at heart and treasured history, especially German history.  He had a deep love for Germany and all the special friends he met there. Sharing all his knowledge was a passion of Mike’s and he could talk for hours on what he had learned.  Mike enjoyed the outdoors, antiquing and old cars.  Mike enjoyed visiting with people, giving them a hard time and making them laugh.

Mike worked hard on his ranch and was proud of his 2nd leaf trees. Having a beer and barbequing with family and friends made him very happy.  He loved his family, being a grandpa and loved to tease his grandchildren.

Mike is survived by his wife Ida; daughters Sarah (Jr.) Dunn and Stephanie (Chris) Dunn-Ramsey; grandchildren Andrew, Abbigail, Anneliese, Aubrey and Brycen and two step-brothers.

There will be no services and in lieu of flowers, please share remembrances of Mike on the Allen Mortuary website.  The family wants to collect all the different memories for his grandchildren to cherish.
