Sharon Shorr, 64, of Atwater, passed away Dec. 3 with her family at her side. A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 12 at Hilmar Country Club Estates Club House, 19667 American Ave., Hilmar.
Sharon was born to the late John and Opal Wilson. She was a resident of Atwater, and formerly lived in Hilmar, Turlock and the Modesto area. She was a LVN and worked in many area hospitals, starting her career at the Community Hospital in Turlock.
Sharon was married to William Marlow at the age of 18, and that union produced both of her daughters. She was widowed at 23.
She is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Shawn (John) Costa and Heather (J.D.) Southern; grandchildren, Zach, Nathan, Jordan, Lexi Costa, William Parraz, Sarah Marlow and Summer Ebarb; sisters, Mary Clendenen, Billy Warner and Donna Illum; and great grandson, Logan Costa.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Gray Wilson and Bobby Wilson; her father, John Wilson; mother, Opal Wilson; and first husband, William Marlow.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations of rose bushes and trees should be planted in her honor at the homes of her daughters.
