Susanne, a lifelong resident of Turlock, was born in Modesto, California to Alfred and Maria Jorge and passed away in Turlock at the age of 57.  In her youth, Susie, as she was known to her family, attended Sacred Heart School and Turlock High School.  She completed her higher education by first attending Modesto Junior College before transferring to Stanislaus State where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in business.  Susie worked for several years at Turlock Scavenger Company, Chevron, and was currently employed by 5.11 Tactical of Modesto.  She attended Sacred Heart Church and was active in Y.L.I. Ave Regina #200.

Susanne is survived by her siblings: James Jorge (Debra) of Sonora, Loretta Blakeley (Patrick) of Turlock, Rebecca Vaille Leppla (Kevin) of Modesto, devoted nephews, nieces, great-nieces, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Susie lived a simple, quiet life, dedicated to work, friends, and family.  She remembered much of the family lore, as well as the dates of birthdays and important events for every member of her large extended family.  She absorbed that family history in part while acting as the designated driver for elderly relatives, always available to those that needed her, both privileged and proud to assist.  She also took pleasure in volunteering as financial secretary of Y.L.I. for many years and loved her nearly ten years with 5.11 Tactical where she was known for the volume and accuracy of her work.

Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Y.L.I. Ave Regina #200, 1301 Cooper Ave., Turlock, Ca 95380. A Celebration of Life will be held at Allen Mortuary on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, with the recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. and remembrances beginning at 6:45 p.m.  A Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, with a reception immediately following at the Allen Event Center, 239 North Broadway in Turlock.
