Teruko was born in Japan to Tomejiro and Chise Iwamoto.  She was a survivor of the Nakasaki atomic bomb.  Teruko immigrated to the U.S. with her husband in 1958. They traveled throughout the United States, living in Stockton, San Diego, Bremerton, Washington, and Charleston, South Carolina before they settled in Turlock in 1979, where she lived until she passed away at the age of 84.

Teruko enjoyed spending time with her family who she loved dearly, as well as, her many hobbies of knitting, crochet, origami and bingo.  

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dan Morgan; son John Morgan and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings.
