Virginia Mildred Bailey, 87, passed away on March 10, 2012. She was born in Gallantin, Tennessee to Luther and Roberta Butrum. She was a long term resident of Turlock. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, UMW, past president of Osborn PTA, served two terms of presidency of Turlock Senior Citizens and prior member of the Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed quilting, reading and cooking. Her love was for her family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by son David Bailey, father Luther Butrum, mother Roberta Butrum, sisters Katherine Bell and Betty Stephens, and brothers Howard and Paul Butrum. Survived by son Jim Bailey (Carolyn) of Tuolumne, son Danny Bailey (Alicia) of Turlock, and daughter Peggy Gonzalez of Turlock. Survived by grandchildren Jim, Connie, Jacob, Richard, George, Michelle, Eloise, Stephanie, Daniel, David, Jon, Steven and 22 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 11:00 A.M at First United Methodist Church.  Private internment will be at Turlock Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the United Methodist Church, 1660 Arbor Way, Turlock or the A.L.S. Foundation.
