Winfrey Olive Horan, Jr., 78 of Newman passed away Monday at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson.

Mr. Horan was a native of Waco, TX and was a resident of Newman for 14 years. He was a Sheet Metal Worker for 35 years and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints Crows Landing Branch and the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local #104. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.

Mr. Horan is survived by his sons, Jeff Horan, John Horan and Thomas Horan all of Gustine; daughter, Peg Horan of Morgan Hill; brother, Wesley Horan of Los Banos; sisters, Betty Yeager of Morgan Hill, Pearl Peters of Oakhurst, Lillian Moreno of Chico and Marylou Fear of Yakima, WA; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara June Horan who passed away in 1998.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am, Monday, October 22nd at the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints in Crows Landing, followed by a Graveside Service at 1:00 pm at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine.
