Harder off to the right start
quill pen

Dear Editor,

It’s been interesting to watch—and actually participate in—some of the first steps of our new Congressman Josh Harder as he gets his feet wet in Washington.  I was pleasantly surprised that recently he took advantage of a Congressional break to come back here and hold several town hall meetings, one of which I attended.  I was impressed by his intelligence, his grasp of both local and national issues, his openness, and his determination to always keep his constituents and their needs first in his mind while serving in Washington.  His priorities, including health care, prescription drugs prices, water issues, job creation and immigration, all are approached in a bipartisan fashion, reaching out to both Republicans and Democrats.

At some point, Mr. Harder will come face-to-face with the Trump-induced partisan hypnosis that Congressional Republicans have fallen under for the better part of the last two years, and at that time he will be forced to make some tough decisions.  But for now at least, I think he’s on the right track, off to a great start, and is showing already that he will be a true representative of ALL of us in the 10th District there in Washington.
