This macabre joke regarding the roadways in Turlock has not just sprung up overnight.  The expected repair on Monte Vista in front of the University is long overdue and should have been continued down to Berkeley.  These are avenues of egress to the city from the freeway.  Anyone entering our fair city would almost have kidney problems upon arriving.  I was born at the old Emanuel Hospital and am fully aware that in order to get something done in the public sector there needs to be funds.  If the tax problem was presented in a slightly different form so that the tax would only go for road repair and not be siphoned off for any reason, it just might pass.  Nothing will be accomplished without funds.  I vote for the slight tax increase.
