Student health services top notch

Though I am covered by a “Cadillac” insurance plan with Kaiser, I choose to frequent the Student Health Center at California State University, Stanislaus. I called to book an appointment with Kaiser recently, and there was a three week wait to see my doctor.  I would be charged a $20 co-pay at the time of the appointment and would be charged between $20 and $30 for my prescription.  Disappointed, I then decided to call the CSUS Student Health Center, and I was seen the same day.  I was in and out in 20 minutes having seen my doctor, had lab work done, and had my prescription filled.  The total cost to me was only $11!

All of the Health Center staff at CSUS are friendly, dedicated, and quite knowledgeable.  I have not received better care anywhere else.  In particular, Dr. Sergio Mazon, Marie Snoke, and Gladys Brisco-Roche have been exceptionally kind, caring, and attentive in their service.  I encourage students who have access to a student health center to take advantage of the services they provide.  They can provide these quality services at affordable rates, and you should reap the benefits of programs for which you pay.
