Former Cal State Stanislaus Warrior Eric Cendejas has returned to the Central Valley as a pro. The right-handed pitcher from Corona and his current club, the Inland Empire 66ers, began a three-game series against the Modesto Nuts on Tuesday.
Cendejas, who was in Orem, Utah last season, was called up to Class A Advance to start the 2012 campaign. In 12 games, he's posted a 1-1 record and a 3.31 ERA. In 16 1/3 innings of work, he's struck out 13 and walked just three.
Cendejas was a 2010 33rd round draft pick of the Los Angeles Angels.
