For the second time in three seasons, Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium will be home to the California Collegiate Athletic Association Track & Field Championships.
Cal State Stanislaus was awarded to host the 2013 CCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the conference's annual executive council meetings held in June.
"The CCAA is pleased to have the 2013 CCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Cal State Stanislaus," CCAA Commissioner Robert J. Hiegert said. "Its central location, outstanding facility and climate will all lead to what we believe will be an outstanding experience for our student-athletes."
The conference championship event, scheduled for May 2-4, 2013, will bring more than 600 students and spectators to the Turlock area.
"We are thrilled to serve as host of the CCAA Track and Field Championships again," first-year Cal State Stanislaus Director of Athletics Michael Matoso said. "It is an opportunity for us to showcase the University, our track program, one of the best facilities in the country and the City of Turlock. Our staff did a great job of hosting this event (in 2011) and we plan on running another first class event."
Since opening in 2009, Warrior Stadium has played host to a number of major championship events. The facility hosted the CCAA and NCAA outdoor track and field championships in 2011. The stadium also was the site for the CCAA soccer championships in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Cal State Stanislaus also will serve as the host institution for the 2013 CCAA Men's Golf Championships in Paso Robles.
