Warriors volleyball falls to Golden Eagles

The Cal State Stanislaus volleyball team suffered a tough loss Friday night in a California Collegiate Athletic Association match against Cal State L.A.  This is the second time the Warriors have lost in three straight sets (25-23, 19-25, 17-25) to the Golden Eagles this season.
The Warriors are now 10-8 overall and 7-6 in the CCAA.  
Lianne Vicchio led the Warriors with 11 kills.  Eva Chafeh contributed offensively with 7 kills.  Jessica Lehner had 24 assists and Megan Britton had 11 digs for the night.  
Kaycee Gow was strong defensively for the Warriors, leading with 2 block solos and 4 block assists.
Chelsea Hamilton led the Golden Eagles with 12 kills, followed by Natalia Gonzalez with 11 kills.  Libero Stefanie Gay had 15 digs and setter Amrita Tuladhar had 26 assists.
Cal State L.A. improves to 10-6, 7-5 in the conference play.
Today, the Warriors will take on Cal State Dominguez Hills on their CCAA Dig for a Cure night, promoting breast cancer awareness.  Fans wearing pink will be admitted with a $2 donation benefitting the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The game will start at 7 p.m. at the Ed and Bertha Fitzpatrick Arena.
