The Cal State Stanislaus women’s soccer team appears to be all set for the 2010 season now that the Warriors have filled their vacant assistant coaching spot. On Tuesday, the program announced the hiring of Jennifer Rosenberg — a former player who replaces Adrienne Sorenson, who recently was named the Delta College head coach.

After wrapping up her Stanislaus career in 2005, Rosenberg has had stints at Beyer High in Modesto, Oakdale High, Merced College and in Turlock with Turlock FC for the past four years.

In 2009, she was a volunteer for the Warriors while working towards her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.

“We are very lucky to have Jenni joining our staff as a full-time assistant,” Warriors coach Gabriel Bolton said. “She brings a tremendous amount of enthusiasm, energy and soccer knowledge to our program.”

Rosenberg is an Ashland, Ore., native. Before Stanislaus, she spent two seasons at Merced College and also attended Southern Oregon University.

“I’m excited to take the next step in my professional career,” Rosenberg said. “I love Cal State Stanislaus and this is a great opportunity for me to work with a program and a group of women I really believe in.”
