Little League
Turlock American East 17, Los Banos National 1
In their first All-Stars game of the season, the Turlock American East players of the age 12 division of Little League provided a bevy of hits, runs and homers. Anthony Moreno led the charge by going 3-for-4 with two homers and five RBIs. He had support, however, as Christian Seja went 4-for-4 and Marcus Lopez finished 4-for-5 with a homer and three RBIs. David Lazar added two hits with two RBIs, while Kenny Evans also finished with two hits. Lopez and Seja also took their turns on the mound, only utilizing 20 pitches apiece — which allowed them to pitch the following day — before Daniel Romeo closed the game, as the three pitchers combined for 10 strikeouts and allowed five hits and one walk.

Turlock American East 11, Chowchilla 0
The Turlock American East All-Stars provided another blowout, this time in four innings before the 10-run mercy came into effect. And this time, it was their pitching that was very effective. Anthony Moreno finished with 10 strikeouts, while allowing one hit and one walk. Marcus Lopez slammed out a homer and Todd Atkinson went 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Turlock American East 3, Madera American 1
Marcus Lopez and Josh Cardenas had back-to-back homers to lift Turlock American East All-Stars to victory in their toughest battle of the tournament.  Lopez also pitched, as he exceeded his 85-pitch limit before being taken out in the sixth inning with 14 strikeouts. Kenny Evans laid down a nice bunt in the sixth, while Dominic Jack and Cardenas contributed with a hit apiece.
