Pitman volleyball still perfect after first league match

The Pride volleyball team continues to roll over their opponents after trouncing the Falcons of Atwater (25-20, 25-10 and 25-19) in Monday’s Central California Conference opener.

With 13 matches under their belt so far, the Pride have made it a perfect 13-0 in straight sets to keep their unbeaten streak of straight sets alive.

The entire team was playing relentless once again in Monday’s league opener led by Lindsey Vander Weide and Maddy Halteman.

Vander Weide finished the game with 18 kills and tacked on 9 digs.

Halteman finished with 31 assists, while Stephanie Simmons added on five blocks.

Pitman hopes to continue its streak when it hosts CCC foe Golden Valley at 6 p.m. today.
