Pitman High’s volleyball team got a taste of championship glory for the first time last year and decided it wanted more in 2012. The Pride (15-0 CCC) not only achieved their goal, they set the bar higher; improving on last year’s record with an undefeated Central California Conference campaign.

Pitman made their status as back-to-back CCC champs official Tuesday night with a 3-0 victory over rival Turlock High. As they have all season, Pitman utilized a combination of size and power at the net to overpower the Bulldogs and clear a path as they prepare for playoffs.

The magnitude of Pitman’s dominance during the season is not only reflected in its perfect record, but also in the fact the team dropped only four sets during all 15 CCC matches. The Pride will attempt to maintain their dominant attitude and presence on the court when the Division I SJS Playoffs begin Friday.
