Turlock High golf's Bailey Old and Preston Magina were coming off great performances at the Divisional tournament which then catapulted the team into the Sections masters tournament on Monday at the Reserve at Spanos Park.

Although neither nabbed an opportunity to move on, Old and Magina finished with stout performances.

Old hit an 81 and Magina topped out with a score of 76.

They needed a 71 to move on.

“Unfortunately the year is over and Preston missed the cut by just five strokes,” said Turlock head coach Jason Boswell. “They both played really well. Really happy with how they played. They represented the CCC well. We want to compete at the divisional level next year.”

In order to do so, Turlock will have to rely heavily on their returners for next year, which luckily for the gang is a significant number.

“We have five out of six guys returning for next year so that looks good for us,” said Boswell.
