Detectives with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s General Crimes Unit recovered approximately $400,000 in stolen merchandise Wednesday following a multi-location search tied to a cross-country theft investigation.
The goods—25 pallets of items originally en route to an Amazon facility in California—were located during search warrant operations at one residence in Turlock and two commercial properties in Modesto.
Authorities arrested Ravinder Singh, 58, of Turlock, and Nepal Singh, 36, of Modesto, on suspicion of possessing stolen property. Both men were booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center. The investigation stems from a larger theft of roughly $500,000 in merchandise stolen during transit from the East Coast.
The case remains under active investigation.
