On Thursday morning Stanislaus County Sheriff’s deputies seized these boxes and bags full of marijuana which was processed illegally. More was located inside the house outside of Keyes (Photo contributed).

Over 7,000 pounds of marijuana processed illegally was seized Thursday morning at a home in the 5100 block of Washington Road just outside of Keyes.

The total estimated street value of product seized exceeds $7 million.

At approximately 7:30 a.m., tactical teams from the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department converged on the home, which had been the subject of ongoing illegal narcotics operations. Detectives with the Sheriff’s Special Investigations Unit obtained a search warrant and entered the property to find processed marijuana packaged for shipment.

No arrests have yet to be made.

The Sheriff’s Department issued a statement after the bust saying: “Our department is committed to eliminating what has become a lucrative black market for illicit marijuana cultivation. The likelihood of violence, environmental contamination, public health hazards and other neighborhood dangers are significant.”
