Residents in a northeast Turlock neighborhood woke to an unwelcome site Saturday morning when they found dozens of vehicles with their windows shot out.
Between 6:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Saturday the Turlock Police Department took 11 reports of damaged property, some with multiple incidences, Lt. Ron Reid said.
All of the vehicles were sport utility vehicles and vans and all had their windows shot out with a BB gun.
Most of the discoveries were made by officers patrolling the neighborhood, Reid said.
The vandalism caused several thousand of dollars in damage, according to the police department.
The vandalisms were reported in the: 60 block of Monte Vista Avenue; 3700 block of Santa Ynez Avenue; 300 block of Burgenland Avenue; 3800 block of Verona Avenue; 300 and 400 blocks of Fullerton Drive; 3300 and 3600 blocks of Fosberg; and the 700 block of Bennington Avenue.
