Conviction for witness intimidation
da

Stanislaus County District Attorney Jeff Laugero announced that Gregory Allen King, age 24 of Modesto, has been convicted by jury of two counts of witness intimidation. These crimes are strike offenses under California’s 3-Strikes Law.

At the time of the incident, King was on parole following his 2022 conviction for a drive-by shooting in Turlock. King is facing a maximum 19-year prison sentence.

In December 2024, King was identified as a suspect in a domestic violence incident that occurred in Sacramento County. After the incident, King fled the area. Modesto Police Department detectives then developed evidence that King was in the Modesto area and was contacting the domestic violence victim and intimidating her to lie to the police to say he didn’t commit the crime.

King’s intimidation included conspiring with other individuals to threaten the victim with violence if she refused King’s demand.

This crime was investigated by the Modesto Police Department. Deputy District Attorney Patrick Hogan prosecuted this case on behalf of the People.
