Dispute over cab fare leads to three arrests

Three women had the right idea in taking a taxi home after a night of drinking, but the wrong idea when they decided to not pay the driver.

Around 2 a.m. Sunday Turlock officers were dispatched to the 3500 block of Crowell Road for the report of three women refusing to pay a cab fare.

According to the police report, Toiesine Early, 30, struck the cab driver during the dispute over the fare. She was subsequently arrested on suspicion of battery.

Brittany Alexander, 25, was being taken into custody for public intoxication when she allegedly pulled away from the officer, which earned her a charge of resisting arrest.

The third woman, Veronica Magana, 28, was arrested for public intoxication.
