Drive-by awakens Turlock neighborhood
TPD

Gunshots rang out in the 800 block of E. Monte Vista around 2:50 a.m. Monday in what turned out to be a drive-by shooting, the Turlock Police Department reported.

The targeted home was occupied at the time, but no injuries were reported, said Turlock Police spokesman Michael Parmley.

The resident told officers she initially thought it was someone firing a gun up into the air. But when she reviewed her surveillance camera footage she saw that the shooter had been aiming at the home and a vehicle, both of which were damaged from the shooting.

Officers did find evidence of the shooting and the video showed the shooter was in a smaller, light-colored sedan, Parmley said.
