A woman allegedly bit a store employee after she was confronted about her shoplifting, the Turlock Police Department reported.

Just before noon on Thursday Kourtnee Allen, 21, entered a store in the 1300 block of W. Main Street.

According to the police report, Allen concealed items upon her person in the presence of a minor child.

She was confronted by a store employee who asked Allen to return the items and leave the store.

Allen refused and attempted to pepper spray the employee.

There was a struggle between Allen and the employee, during which time Allen allegedly bit the employee’s arm, said Turlock Police Sgt. Michael Parmley.

Allen was taken into custody and arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and for two outside agency warrants.
